Before I started to get proper make up like foundation, bronzer etc I got the odd lip gloss, blush and concealer every now and again from Natural Collection. This certain day I decided I wanted to get my make up from a bigger brand to test different types out, so I went over to the No7, L’Oréal sections and then I came to Rimmel. Beloved Rimmel, my favourite make up brand by miles off. When I bought my new make up it was all from Rimmel because the reviews were super good and the price is amazing for it’s quality. I bought Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish shade ivory 100 that day and I still use it now.
I would give this product 8 out of 10. As you can see I have used quite a few bottles already and when I finished them I have scraped the sides with the tube going to the bottom of the bottle because I obviously didn’t have another one to use and I needed to get as much as I possibly could. I once tried the Rimmel London Match Perfection in shade ivory 100 but I didn’t like it as much because it didn’t stay on as long as the other so I went back to my trusty old red cap. I love this foundation because it has a beautiful pump that gives out just enough foundation that I need. It also goes on smoothly and doesn’t go blotchy, I use my fingers to add the foundation to my face and I know it’s unhygienic and it would look better with a sponge or brush but whenever I tried using a tool to apply the foundation it has always left streaks. It could be the brush or sponge or the way I use them that makes it bad but my fingers work fine and I do wash my hands before if that makes it any better. I am 14 tomorrow (whoop whoop) and I have a few spots maybe 10 but that is normal for a teenager, I think this foundation is really good for my skin because I have very dry sensitive skin and it has never irritated me. Plus when I wear it I can’t feel a thing, its not like having concrete on my face all day long like most foundations. It also does what it says ‘Full coverage foundation enriched with a comfort serum. Instant perfect coverage that feels extra comfortable and lasts all day. Sweat, heat humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours. Coverage that wont let you down.’ I agree with it all. Things that could make it better is that when you cry It wouldn’t leave a trail on your face but that’s it, the price is also amazing because of so much good quality foundation you get in it. If you are still reading well done and thank you x
Jandy Nelson… What can I say other than she is the best author In the world and her books are even better than snuggling up with your dog on a cold winters night watching movies with an endless box of chocolates (my ideal night). Both of her books are about romance and I have to admit when it comes to love, especially in books or poems, I crumble there and then. However ‘the sky is everywhere’ is love on a whole new level and I’m almost certain everybody would crumble at reading this book. Lennie is as normal as a girl can be until she looses her sister Bailey, when that happens her love life explodes. She finally gets the beautiful dream-boy of the school but as everything is going perfect for her everything is turned upside down. Lennie finds out a lot of things about her Sister, Mother and herself whilst going through this hard chapter of her life. I won’t tell you about the whole book because reading it yourself if far better than being told in a few sentences by me.
Out of 10 I would give this book a 10 and normally I wouldn’t give such high marks on anything but ‘the sky is everywhere’ won me over and is the best book along side ‘I’ll give you the sun’ which is surprise, surprise Jandy Nelsons second book. If my cousin hadn’t give me this book a few year ago and I had not of even know who Jandy Nelson was now I don’t know who I’d be today, I know it sounds cliché but its true I believe everything happens for a reason, but I know for sure that I wouldn’t be reading because this is the book that got me into reading itself. If you are into reading I strongly recommend this book and if you are not into reading then I hope you start too. Reading a book has gave me much more joy than playing video games ever will and is much more beneficial. Who is your favourite author? What is your favourite book? If you are still reading well done and thank you x.
Remember, remember the 5th of November.
So yesterday was bonfire night, I’m guessing you’ve already figured that one out. It is possibly my second most favourite time of the year (Christmas being first) I love the way the sky comes to life with the vibrant colours, loud noises and how they all race across the heavens like they’re on a mission. Me and my family almost always go to firework displays and I just love it because being surrounded by happy people instantly fills me up with joy. I’m not a big fan of crowds myself but when we’re all staring at the same overflow of fireworks and crackling sounds all around us, it’s not only the fireworks that end up sparkling but everybody shows their inner spark too.
This is my very first blog that I have ever made so I’m sorry if the writing isn’t the best (or too cheesy) and the photos aren’t the best quality I know but hopeful with my all my birthday and Christmas money I will be able to buy an actual camera so the quality on here will be better for you guys. I’m not sure how often but I will also be doing reviews on books, makeup and lush bath bombs on here as well as the odd blogs when its a holiday or if I have something to share with you. Do you have any bath bombs/makeup/book recommendations for me to review on? What did you do for bonfire night? If you are still reading congratulations and thank you. xx
